7 reasons why running in the rain doesn’t (have to) suck

It was drizzly all day today and, of course, the rain continued into the evening. However, this didn’t stop me and 2 other crazies (pictured below!) from having a good time running in the rain. It was actually quite enjoyable and here are some reasons why:

  • The rain keeps you cool so you won’t overheat.
  • There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices. Choose wisely!
  • I highly recommend waterproof shoes. Wet socks are the worst. Squish squish.
  • Running in the rain is like running and showering at the same time. What can be better than that?
  • Similar to winter running, you can feel like a total badass after you are done
  • According to a very wise man (Lisa’s dad), rain is not a big deal because our skin is waterproof. Truth! 😄
  • Running with my runbuddies makes everything good!

Nutrition log:

  • Pre-run: 1 orange 2 hours before
  • Mid-run: water
  • Post-run: Milo with milk 🥛, Vector cereal with milk 🥛, PB&J bagel (I love having breakfast for dinner!)
