Today’s run was tough. I had an emotionally-draining day at work which was made worse because I didn’t have time to drink much water all day and I didn’t have time for a pre-run snack. I also had to rush to get to MEC because I had a meeting that didn’t end until 5:40pm and when I got to the subway, I just missed the train. Luckily, I still got to MEC just in time and was even able to fill up my water bottles so I wasn’t completely dehydrated for the run.
Jim made us do intervals today and I just wasn’t feeling it for the first few intervals. My mind was heavy thinking about work. At the last interval, I was finally able to pick up my pace and do a true interval and running back to the store was also easier.
Despite not having the best run, I’m glad to have made it out tonight and put in another 8km!

The good news is that, because I didn’t have a pre-run snack, I was actually hungry after the run and had a ‘proper’ dinner (‘proper’ in quotation marks because it’s still not the best dinner but at least it’s not just cereal).

- Post-run: sesame snaps on my way home, Spinach/mushroom/cheese omelette (well, it was supposed to be an omelette but it looked more like scrambled eggs!)
