Today’s weather in Toronto was probably similar to the weather at today’s Boston Marathon. Despite the snow, slush, and puddles, Lisa and I still ran, proving once again that we are no longer fairweather runners!

Our pace was pretty slow since we were running in the slush and jumping over puddles. Nonetheless, it was good resistance training, or so we told ourselves!
After getting drenched last Saturday, my son reminded me that I have a K-way that I could wear for running in the rain so I decided to give it a try. I found that it was good because it kept me dry but bad because it didn’t breathe and I had two layers underneath. Next time, I’ll just wear one layer underneath.
I didn’t have a pre-run snack so I was actually hungry post-run. Probably ended up eating too much though. Sigh…
Nutrition log:
- Pre-run: one sesame snap just before heading out
- Mid-run: nuun
- Post-run: char siu rice from Saturday’s ramen restaurant with some leftover broccoli and roast chicken, homemade ice cream with M&M’s, 1 quarter of an orange
