This week is cherry blossom week. We saw a few blossoms on Monday but they weren’t in full bloom yet so I didn’t take a picture. I hope to see more blooms throughout the week.
A couple of new people came out including a mom from the NYM group. It was encouraging to see her come out, especially since so many moms want to come but aren’t able to make it (that was me for 10 years!). She ran 5km with us, no problem!
On the 2nd loop of our run, I don’t know what got into Dave and Lisa but they were both crushing it and we ended up doing a negative split. It was great because I wasn’t that motivated to do tempo pace but they both pushed me to chase them. They are now Energizer Bunny Ninjas. At one point, I felt so light on my feet that I actually felt like I was floating. It was so weird to feel that. Kind of like an out-of-body experience. Very surreal.
It was great to have Tracey back too, now with a ring on her finger! π
