Ninja intervals

Last night’s ninja training was pyramid intervals on the track. We had to go hard intervals of 0.5 lap, 1 lap, 1.5 laps, 1.5 laps, 1 lap, 0.5 lap. Each hard interval was followed by 0.5 lap of recovery.

It was a hard workout! The hot weather didn’t help either. Both Lisa and I originally weren’t going to be able to make it for this run. But despite the pain of hard intervals, I’m glad both our Wednesday night plans got cancelled and we were able to make it to this run. I still don’t have a picture of a nice cherry blossom 🌸 tree but hopefully, we will find something tonight.

Because we signed up for the Sporting Life 10k as part of the Telus team, Steve brought us our race kits tonight. Talk about full service! He even said a few words at the beginning of the run to recognize the fundraising that Lisa and I had done for Camp Ooch. That was really nice of him, especially since he’s the one who should be recognized for fundraising almost $5,000 personally and organizing the Telus team who has fundraised over $50,000!

With the warmer weather, the runcrew is getting bigger! πŸ˜„

After the run, I was home alone because Jeremy and the kids were at the Blue Jay’s game so I vegged out and watched Netflix until 1am! #momsnightin πŸ˜„
