Jim’s Hill Hell continues

It was raining so hard this morning that as soon as I stepped out of the house, I wanted to crawl back into bed. I knew it was raining but I didn’t know it was raining that hard. By the time I got to the end of my street, I was already all soaked.

I was as prepared for the heavy rain as I could by wearing a visor, a K-way, and waterproof shoes. I think I have perfected the trinity of gear for running in the rain. Many ninjas just wore a regular shirt and shoes. Maybe they don’t mind having their shirt draping wet on their skin or that awful squish squish feeling in their shoes. Thankfully, the heavy rain became only a drizzle toward the end of our run.

We ran to Earl Bales Park where Jim challenged us to run up the ski hill. Thank goodness we are in Ontario and we are not running up a real ski hill! Because everyone else was doing it, I also ‘ran’ up the hill but I am using a very loose definition for ‘ran’. Let’s just say that Jim didn’t need to take a slow-mo video for it to be a slow-mo video. 😂

I didn’t realize I was so close to 18km or else I would have ran a bit more!
