I’m finally starting to feel like I’m getting back into a routine again. Last night, we did our Thursday night run to the cemetery. The flowers were in full bloom and so beautiful.

The weather was perfect for running. However, toward the end of our run, it started to get dark. It makes me a bit sad that summer is almost over and it’s going to be fall before we know it. We need to enjoy this perfect running weather before Old Man Winter visits again.
Even though this was a “shortish” run, I tried out some home made “Endurance Tap”. It’s just maple syrup, ginger, and salt. It didn’t taste too bad so I think I will try the real one on Saturday’s 30k race. I know they say you shouldn’t try anything new on race day but this race is just for fun so I’m not too concerned.
After the run, we went to Starbucks to replenish the calories that we expended (and more). This is the 3rd time Lisa and I have gone to Starbucks after our Thursday night runs. Yay Starbucks BOGOs!

Nutrition log:
- Pre-run: snickerdoodle cookie
- Mid-run: homemade Endurance Tap
- Post-run: Mocha Frappacino (shared with Jeremy), Spinach salad, Costco chicken pot pie, π½, π
