We did a 25k run today. I ran to Lisa’s house (3k) and then Lisa and I tried to run toward the reservoir but realized we had to head back to MEC for 8:30am before we made it there. We will do it next time!
We ran to the Aga Khan Museum and took some photos. It’s always fun to do a destination run.


I felt some pain in my left hip so I had to slow down a bit toward the end. I also had some GI discomfort. I’m not sure what caused it because, silly me, I changed my entire fueling strategy today:
- I normally eat a PB&J 1 hour before a Saturday long run. Today, I just ate a banana about 15 minutes before.
- I brought Gatorade instead of Nuun (because that’s what they are serving at #STWM)
- I tried eating fruit strips as part of my fueling plan
- I tried Endurance Tap for the 2nd time
So… I think I’ll try the Gatorade and Endurance Tap again next week but go back to the PB&J pre-run.

Nutrition log:
- Pre-run: banana 15 minutes before
- Mid-run: Gatorade, Endurance Tap, fruit strips x 2
- Post-run: half a blueberry/banana/bran muffin from Gillian
- Post post-run: spaghetti and meat sauce
