Now that I’ve been part of the RunNinjas for a year, here are a few unwritten rules that I have observed for this group.
- All are welcome… Except you might get left behind and totally lost if you can’t keep up with the pace. Don’t worry – you will get better if you continue to show up.
- Show up on time. The group isn’t going to wait for stragglers.
- There is one leader. Just follow like a lemming. It’s the best.
- Don’t listen to music while you run. You are expected to chat with people.
- Be positive. No one needs to be reminded about how hot the heat is, how wet the rain is, or how cold the winter is going to be.
- Celebrate each other’s achievements – big or small. A small achievement for you may be a huge achievement for someone else.
- It’s acceptable (maybe even encouraged!) to compliment someone when they have gotten noticeably leaner from running.
- It’s totally normal to talk about taboo topics like diarrhea, bladder leakage, nipple chaffing, etc…yup, totally normal.
- Smile for the photos. Selfies are mandatory.
- You must celebrate everyone’s birthday. Just kidding… This one is only applicable for Lisa. π€£π€£π€£
#10 ππππππ ok Maggie’s birthday was Tracey’s idea!!! & If she didn’t tell me about Maggie’s I wouldn’t have found out about hers… Ok so it started with yours & snowballed from there π
