Pain-free again!

Yay! I’m pain-free again! It’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve been back at it so I’m super happy!

We went camping last weekend (Victoria Day long weekend) and I even went trail running by myself. It was so therapeutic to run solo in the woods. I’ve always loved hiking but now, there’s something about being able to run that makes it even more enjoyable and satisfying.

We came back one night early because the forecast called for rain and the other 3 families we went with didn’t want to stay the 3rd night. πŸ˜’ So we came back on Sunday afternoon and I immediately made plans to run with Lisa, Parm, and Maggie on Monday morning for Parm’s birthday.

We ran to Marathon Cafe and I had coffee tea and a quarter of a pineapple bun. Yum! Parm also got a free condensed milk bun because it was his birthday and we split that too. Double yum.

Totally unplanned but I ended up running exactly 21.1k there and back! Just casual…ran a half marathon to go to Marathon Cafe. No big deal. πŸ˜‚

Today we ran to my favourite place in North York – the reservoir at Earl Bales Park. The rain came down hard as soon as we started. We were pretty much all soaked even though most of us had some kind of rain gear on. At one point, Jim jumped into the puddles on purpose to get people even more wet. πŸ’¦πŸ€£ Oh Jim.

Tomorrow, I’ll be volunteering at another race as photographer. It’s a small charity race to raise money for the Sickkids neurology department. The race is called Joggin’ for the Noggin’. So funny. πŸ˜‚ It’s great to shoot for a charity event where I can combine my passions together! Thanks Lisa for getting me into this when we volunteered for the Bum Run! πŸ˜„
