Yesterday was the last day of April and also felt like the first day of summer. The night before, we were watching the #TorontoStrong vigil on TV where people were wearing their winter jackets while we were having hot pot for dinner. It went from winter to summer overnight!
I had to do 10km and needed to get home after the run so I ran 4km to get to the church for a head start. I started runchatting with Maria, did a few 500m Tempo runs toward the end of the church’s 5km loop, and walked home with Parm because his left knee was hurting. I hope his knee gets better soon.

In total, I did 221km this month. A few months ago, I couldn’t imagine what a 200km month would be like. I remember admiring Zoe and Benson for doing 200km in Dec and thinking that I could never do it. It’s amazing how quickly things change. It’s like the weather going from winter to summer overnight. I guess this is my new normal now!
Nutrition log:
- Pre-run: banana 30 minutes before
- Mid-run: water
- Post-run: bbq chicken leg, 1/4 cup macadamia nuts, 1/2 cup milk
- Post post-run: Strawberries, chocolate croissant
Its amazing what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it. Really glad to call you my running buddy. 🙂
