Jim’s 4×4 killer hills

I will be missing tomorrow’s ninja training because of a work event so I decided to do my 8km training today. Lisa graciously agreed to join me and we did Jim’s 4×4 killer hills. Thanks Lisa!!

It was a really nice day and lots of people were on the trail. I wondered what they were thinking as they watched us huff and puff up the hills, just to run down and huff and puff up again. Maybe they thought we were crazy. Maybe they wished they could run like us. We saw one man with a dog run halfway up one hill. Maybe we inspired him to run.

Maybe we are crazy but it felt good to get it done! At the end, the “Are we there yet?” hill didn’t even feel like a hill! 😄

Nutrition log:

  • Pre-run: orange 1 hour before, strawberry jam sandwich 30 minutes before
  • Mid-run: lots of water since it was so hot
  • Post-run: bbq chicken quarter leg + drumstick, 1/2 cucumber
  • Post post-run: strawberries, chocolate croissant
