According to my training plan, I had to do 22km today. However, a lot of ninjas did a shorter shakeout run as part of their taper for tomorrow’s Toronto Marathon. Fortunately, Lisa agreed to do my long run with me so I was happy. We ran to the end of the Don River Trail and to tack on more distance, we slayed the Green Monster for the first time!

We ended up going all the way to Senlac and came back through the cemetery. By the time I got home, I was only a couple of hundred of meters short of 22km so I overshot my house by about 100m. By the time I got back home, I was exactly at 22km. Woot woot!
Thanks to Lisa, today’s long run was a piece of cake (well maybe not exactly a piece of cake but definitely easier than if I had to run it by myself!) I was sore afterward but we still managed to take the kids to Canada’s Wonderland in the afternoon!

Nutrition log:
- Pre-run: banana 45 minutes before
- Mid-run: Nuun (diluted to 32oz), 3 sesame snaps
- Post-run: 1 pear, 2 eggs, cabbage soup with hotpot lamb slices and watercress (a really weird combination of food, I know)
