First time using my Garmin 235 yesterday. Took it out for an easy 12k through the cemetery. My pace was slower than I expected (6:27) but I don’t know if that was because of the watch or because I was running with Rishi. It seems to take a longer time (vs my phone) for the watch to auto-stop and start. Maybe that’s contributing to it. Lisa’s pace seemed normal (6:01).

Because of the heart rate monitor function, I’m wearing the watch a little tighter than I would like. I hope I’ll get used to it. I wonder if I should alternate wrists so it’s not always on one side.
This is the first time I have heart rate info. Not really sure what to do with it. I’m going to have to read up on it.

Didn’t have time to eat anything before the run because I left work late and went to vote before the run. My stomach was growling! I only ate oatmeal for breakfast and a spinach salad for lunch so extra points for being so healthy!!!

- Pre-run: 2 sesame snaps right before the run
- Mid-run: water
- Post-run: sushi and homemade Oreo ice cream
