Graphic content: Reader Discretion Advised

On Mar 31, I wrote this blog post which mentioned some pain in my right middle toe. Well, for the past couple of weeks, I knew something was wrong with that toe nail. It no longer felt “connected”.

Lo and behold, the nail finally fell off a couple of days ago. Or, should I say, it was hanging on by a thread and I just finished it off by giving it a tug to dislodge the nail from the nail bed. It was oh-so-satisfying to finally be rid of the old nail.

Unfortunately, to say that the new nail is not pretty is an understatement. It’s not even fully formed and has a lot of ridges. Oh well, nothing that a coat of nail polish can’t fix! 😄 At least it doesn’t hurt at all.

The following is a picture of the nail coming off. It’s a bit gross, mainly because it’s a picture highlighting my toes. Let’s just say I will never be a foot model. Don’t scroll down if you don’t want to see it!

  1. Signs you are a marathon runner #101 — Your toe nails are no longer a permanent part of your body — and “Black Toe” is a real thing. There is only so much repeated hitting of the top part of your shoe that any toe nail will take. #ThingsPeopleDontTellYou lol
