It’s been a really busy week with family gatherings but it’s been so great to be able to run every day. I’m now on a 5 day run streak of 5km or more.
Trying to get to 2400km has been both a motivation and an excuse to run. Not that I need a reason to run but I think it gives the running a purpose. I’m not just running aimlessly, I’m running to get to 2400km.
After my solo run on Monday, we had a huge Christmas eve potluck party with Jeremy’s family. There was so much food!

On Tuesday (Christmas day), I hosted brunch for my inlaws and then I ran with Parm and Sue to the Tunnel of Glam. I’m so glad I went. It’s a very cool temporary art installation. After the run, I hosted a dinner for 22 people. Yah, it was a bit crazy but I’m so glad I did the run.

On Wednesday, we had dimsum for brunch and because I loved the Tunnel of Glam so much, I decided to bring my kids to see it.

Our normal 6pm MEC run was cancelled but Jim organized an impromptu run in the afternoon. We did 1km intervals and I was really happy to be able to sustain a sub-4:30 pace for the 3 intervals. What a beautiful Strava chart! 😂

On Thursday, Steve introduced Maggie and I to a trail that goes from Edwards Gardens to Yonge and Lawrence. I was happy to explore a new route and it was a nice change of scenery.

At night, we celebrated Jeremy’s grandma’s 99 birthday. So. Much. Food.

Today (Friday), I slept in and stayed in bed until 11:30am! Then I went out for a short 5km run. I ran past Restwell Court. How appropriate.

Tomorrow will be our Saturday morning MEC RunNinjas long run, the last one of the year. I only need 13km until I get to 2400km! So close I can taste it!
Sounds like a good week! Food, run, repeat…
