The Joys of… SWIMMING?

Lisa and I have been swimming once a week since the end of August. We are swimming at the beautiful Pan Am pool in Scarborough. While we do lengths, my kids and hubby are also there for the free leisure swimming. It’s a win-win!

Over the past 3 months, I have improved a lot. The first time we swam, I could barely make it to 20 laps. I remember feeling so sore afterward. 3 months later, I’m now able to do 50 laps in 35-40 minutes non-stop. Could it be that I’m even starting to enjoy swimming??? *gasp*

The whole reason why I am swimming is to force myself to crosstrain. That’s why I signed up for Iron Girl 2019 and I want to do more triathlons in the future. All the cross training and strength training has also benefitted my running which is my ultimate goal. Feels like there is a life lesson in there somewhere…

We even got a few other Ninjas coming out: Tracey (and Andrien), Katie, Benson, and Steve. These SwimNinjas are amazing! ☺️
